You Don’t Know Jack about Forex Courses
A course is a course, of course, of course, unless you are talking about forex. Online forex trading courses are one of the most popular ways to hook people into spending money that they don’t need to. You really don’t need more than an introduction to the basics and a few pointers on safety and loss prevention, but some of these online programs are more, and not in a good way.
Most people think of education as a means of learning. The sensible people who just read that sentence probably thought to themselves, “Well, duh” but the internet seems to have other ideas. One of the first links that turned up for me when researching this subject was a site that offered an automated forex robot program as a good course.
Excuse me, but how are you going to learn how to trade foreign currencies yourself if you let a computer program do all of the thinking for you. The answer is that site won’t teach you anything, they are advertising on a bogus keyword.
Another obstacle is deciding what kind of forex you want to be taught. There are day trading forex courses as well as standard trading courses, course in specific currency pairs and schedules. Day Trading can be much more difficult, but the returns tend to be much higher as well, leading those who want a quick and easy profit to study the practice.
Foreign exchange isn’t like trading other securities. There are no fixed interest rates for trades because the currency is often traded between central and commercial banks, hedge funds, all kinds of non-banking international corporations, and let’s not forget private investors and worst of all, speculators.
IN the past a huge deposit was necessary to trade forex. This was changed in 1995, allowing access to many more regular people. With this influx of new investors came the inevitable slump in the number of people who really knew what they were doing.
Some of those who were educated and experienced in the market decided that it would be better for the market itself to pass on their knowledge in the form of a book to help the investor who is just starting out. Many good books are available this way, and it is one of the most trusted and secure ways of establishing a working knowledge base in forex.
Once you have a good foundation f knowledge put together, it is easier to recognize the garbage when you see it. Plus with a really good book you might not even need to waste the time attending any kind of school at all.
There are many people who claim to have educated themselves without the need for any kind of forex course, online or otherwise. These folks are a little arrogant, and have only set themselves up for a fall. You need to know what the experts know to make a real living with forex.
